Troubleshooting Scenario Discovery
Resolve common issues when discovering and syncing your Make scenarios
Common Issues
Failed to Discover Scenarios
Symptoms
- Error message: "Failed to discover scenarios"
- Discovery process starts but fails to complete
- No scenarios appear after discovery
Solutions

Check API Permissions
- Verify your API key has
scenarios:readpermission - Try generating a new API key with all required permissions

Verify Configuration
- Check your Make API settings
- Ensure your base URL matches your region
- Verify your organization and team IDs
Configuration Not Complete
Symptoms
- Error message: "Please configure your Make API settings first"
- Can't start discovery process
Solutions
- Complete Configuration
- Go to the Configuration Settings page
- Fill in all required fields:
- API Key
- Base URL
- Organization ID (auto-detected)
- Team ID (auto-detected)
- Save your changes
Rate Limit Exceeded
Symptoms
- Error message: "Too many attempts"
- Can't start new discovery process
Solutions

Wait and Retry
- Discovery is limited to 5 requests per time window
- Wait a few minutes before trying again
- Toast notification will indicate when you can retry

Optimize Usage
- Only discover when needed
- Use the existing scenario list when possible
- Check last sync time before rediscovering
Authentication Issues
Symptoms
- Error message: "Unauthorized"
- Can't access scenarios page
- Discovery process fails immediately
Solutions

Check Authentication
- Log out and back in
- Verify your session is active
- Check if you're signed in to the correct account

Verify Permissions
- Confirm you have access to the Make organization
- Check your team membership in Make
- Verify your API key is still valid
Missing Scenarios
Symptoms
- Some scenarios have a warning icon (🔴)
- Scenarios marked as "doesn't exist in Make"
Solutions

Check Make Account
- Verify the scenarios still exist in Make
- Check if they were moved to a different team
- Confirm you have access to all folders

Handle Missing Scenarios
- Restore from backup if needed
- Delete from Bitmule if no longer needed
- Update team/organization settings if moved
General Troubleshooting Steps

- Read the toast notifications carefully
- Note any error codes or specific messages
- Check browser console for additional details

Verify Make Access
- Open Make in another tab
- Confirm you can see your scenarios there
- Check if Make's API status page shows any issues

- Clear your browser cache
- Try in an incognito/private window
- Test in a different browser
